Speaker Brandon Foster

Education:

B.S. Petroleum Engineering
Montana Tech

Career Summary:

Brandon began his career with Mobil International Drilling Services where
he worked as an onsite drilling engineer, responsible for torque and drag
and fluid optimization on long horizontal wells. He also developed a
probabilistic cost estimation technique which was implemented by the
Mobil affiliate and was published as an SPE paper. After the ExxonMobil
merger, he was responsible as lead engineer for well planning, design,
and surveillance of several multi-well drilling programs in West Texas
and Wyoming .

Brandon joined Pure Resources in 2001 where he worked as a drilling and
completions engineer. At Pure, he was exposed to wide variety of complex
directional and horizontal wells in West Texas, South Texas, and New Mexico.
Everything from deep HPHT and UBD wells to low-budget shallow horizontal oil
producers were common, which gave Brandon valuable hands-on design and
operational experience. Several innovative well design concepts and
development of fit-for-purpose equipment were highlights of his stint
with Pure.

In 2003, Brandon joined the K&M team, and has worked onsite on many of
our most difficult projects from the GOM, to California , to Trinidad and all
over the North Sea . For the past couple years, he has been working on
world-class ERD, deepwater, and HPHT projects for our clients around
the world, including several record-breaking ER designs and successfully
implemented projects under his belt. He is currently working major projects
in Kazakhstan , GOM, and Norway .

Brandon and his family reside in The Woodlands, Texas.
