Career Summary:
Roger was employed by Schlumberger for 21 years and during that time worked on projects in the North Sea, Southern Section/Northern Sector, Denmark, Norway, South China Sea, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore for companies such as Petro-Vietnam, Total, Marathon and Unocal. Roger was involved in all aspects of running jack-ups and semi-subs, all S/F training courses for drilling technology, blow out control, relief well drilling and was responsible for the training, practical and theory of BOP courses for National Drillers/Assistant Drillers joining the rigs, as well as the day to day running of the rigs..
Later Roger worked in Nigeria with Mobil, Texaco, Shell and various other companies drilling horizontal wells, re-entry, and multi lateral wells. Roger was a resident in Nigeria for three years contracted to Chevron.
When Roger left Nigeria he worked in South Texas, Louisiana and Mexico planning and drilling for Total, Houston Exploration, Chesapeake, Dominion, El Paso, and other clients as requested. Directional wells with all types of conventional, steerable, and rotary steerable assemblies.
Soon after joining K&M, Roger worked on Statoil’s longest well at the challenging Kristin HPHT project, where he helped the team achieve a trouble-free, successful well. Following his stint in Norway, Roger worked with several other K&M clients on projects offshore California, and in the Bass Strait.
Roger lives in Spring, Texas with his wife Edith and their two children.
