Career Summary:
After 7 years in sales in another industry, Randy entered the oilfield in South Louisiana in 1973 and became a slick-line operator. He later became a technical sales representative for a coiled tubing, snubbing and nitrogen well servicing company. In early 1980 he joined Placid Oil Company as an Assistant Drilling Foreman, advanced quickly to Drilling Foreman and worked in that capacity until Placid sold its offshore assets to Torch Operating Company in 1991.
Randy joined Torch as Offshore Operations Superintendent in Houma and soon became the company's Drilling Superintendent in Houston . Returning to the field as Senior Drilling Supervisor in 1995, Randy worked as a drilling supervisor and special projects manager until he resigned with an exit package in 2002 to look for more advanced drilling opportunities. That opportunity was fulfilled when Randy joined K&M's ERD Team later that year.
Randy brings a wide array of drilling experience and leadership skills to the K&M team which has consistently proven to add value to our clients' drilling operations. Since joining K&M, Randy has worked extensively in the North Sea for various operators, and has been involved with a number of our most challenging projects, including Statoil's Kristin HPHT development, Kerr McGee's North Leadon field, and most-recently a mulit-well ERD campaign for Britannia Operators Limited. Randy has also recently worked challenging projects in the GOM and onshore US.
Randy and his wife, Harriet reside in Houston , Texas.
