Career Summary:
Bob has been involved in the drilling industry since 1976. Bob began his career as a controller and has worked almost every facet of drilling since then. Bob has been a roustabout, a material coordinator in Alaska, and worked in the field as a surveyor. As a surveyor, Bob was responsible for running gyros, magnetic multishots, and steering tools. To add to his experience, Bob has also worked in sales, planning, and wellsite operations.
All of this foundation experience served Bob well, and in 1980, he became a Directional Driller for Eastman Whipstock. In 1986 Bob went to work for Smith International and was responsible for onsite directional supervision, shore based planning, and acting as a liaison with clients. Along with Smith, Bob has also performed Directional Drilling functions on all levels for Teleco Oilfield Services, Halliburton, Dailey Petroleum Services, Inwell Inc., and Gardes Energy Services.
Prior to joining K&M, Bob was working as a Senior Drilling Supervisor in South America. His directional drilling background and solid technical abilities helped his employer set numerous drilling records.
Since joining K&M, Bob has made significant contributions to extended reach and deep water deviated wells around the world. Bob's projects for K&M include work in West Africa, Trinidad, Gulf of Mexico, California, Alaska, China, Russia, Japan, the UK, Norway, and New Zealand. Bob is one our most experienced onsite advisors, and brings a wealth of knowledge about a wide variety of ER operations to any project he is involved with.
Bob and his wife, Linda, currently live in Baker City, Oregon
